A Letter to the Editor: Eschauzier’s Important End-Of-WWII Experience

To the Editor:  

Peter Eschauzier’s letter in last week’s Cricket choked me up while reading it, Having spent many years working in Southeast Asia, I know the stories of the prison camps that existed in those countries, I know how the prisoners, particular the “Orang Putih” were treated. It is easy to visualize the joy that spread over those camps as the Allied Planes flew over. 

I hope in today’s age, America would have the strength and the will again to confront the same type of aggressors, in the same manner we did 75 years ago.
