To the Editor,
Dear selectmen and select women,
A group of extremely dedicated and hardworking citizens of our fair town has produced a very viable and timely plan to acquire and put into place in perpetuity by May, 29 units of affordable housing that already exist in our village but have not been so categorized.
This would put Manchester in to the “safe harbor” category as determined by the state of Massachusetts’ affordable housing law - 40B. This, in turn, would give Manchester two years’ time to properly address and plan for the best solutions possible.
In light of this development, I am asking you to vote against signing a letter of endorsement for the SLV project on School Street.
