Virginia A. (Wade) Saulnier

Virginia A. (Wade) Saulnier, age 79, of Gloucester, formerly of Manchester, passed away on Monday morning, September 16, 2019 at Beverly Hospital in Beverly.  She was the beloved wife of Everett J. Saulnier.  Born in Brooklyn, New York, she was the daughter of the late Gordon D. and Catherine (Barnes) Wade.  Virginia was raised and educated in Manchester and was a graduate of Gloucester High School, class of 1958.

Mrs. Saulnier had been employed as a licensed practical nurse for the pediatrics department at Addison Gilbert Hospital in Gloucester for thirty-five years.  She was a dedicated nurse to her patients and made lasting friendships with her co-workers.  

During her younger years, she loved playing tennis.  She was an avid reader and enjoyed completing cross word puzzles.  Virginia truly adored her family and was a devoted wife to her husband Everett. 

In addition to her husband, with whom she shared 55 years of marriage, she is survived by her daughter, Stephanie Poussard and her husband Brian of Salem; her son, Eric Saulnier and his wife Diane of Gloucester; her sister, Patricia Wilkins of Boothbay, ME and her two best work friends, Shirley Farina of Gloucester and Judy Gross of Gloucester. She was also the sister of the late Gordon D. Wade.

A graveside service will be held at a later date privately.
