Singing Beach Set to Open for the Summer Season

Posted

Singing Beach is set to reopen this weekend, Memorial Day weekend, marking unofficial start to summer. Last season the beach opened to residents only to adhere to COVID-related public safety restrictions. This season Singing Beach is set to fully open to both residents and non-residents.

On Saturday, May 29 the bath house, canteen and parking lot will reopen and will be staffed on weekends until June 21.  After June 21, the beach will be open daily through Labor Day.

Bath house and canteen hours are as follows:
Monday – Friday 9 a.m. – 7 p.m. (beginning June 21) and Saturday – Sunday 9 a.m. – 7 p.m. (beginning May 29).

The Singing Beach parking lot is open daily to Manchester residents with valid 2021 beach stickers.  A limited amount of non-residents parking spots will be available weekdays for $25, beginning June 21, as space allows.

Manchester residents can purchase a beach sticker at the Town Clerk’s office at Town Hall or online at the town’s website.  Starting this year, the Town is asking residents to place their sticker on the front driver side windshield to better help law enforcement and Singing Beach staff identify vehicles more efficiently at the gate.

Beach fire permits must be obtained on the day of intended use from the Manchester Fire Department. Alcohol, fireworks and dogs are prohibited. More Singing Beach information can be found on the Town website.
