Barrett Retirement Parade

Mrs. Barrett receives a bouquet of flowers as a retirement parade in her honor wends its way up School Street.

After more than 30 years working as a Kindergarten teacher's assistant at Manchester Memorial Elementary School, the school that she attended herself throughout grade school, Christina N. Barrett retired.  The community hosted a retirement "car parade" in her honor last week on Lincoln Street.

"She is ready to sail off into the sunset and make a splash in the next chapter of her life," read the announcement of "Mrs. Barrett"’s retirement announcement.

Barrett said her love of children and learning allowed her to touch the lives of so many students, families, and colleagues in Manchester.  Her colleagues wish her the best in the years to come.
