YES, RECYCLE! Transparent, clamshell-hinged plastic containers used for berries, salads, lettuce. Rinse and recycle.
NO! Rigid plastic items such as plant pots, paint buckets, children’s toys. These cannot be recycled but should be placed in an orange trash bag or donated.
NO! “Tanglers” such as strands of Christmas tree lights, a garden hose, or electrical cables. These cannot be recycled and must be placed in an orange trash bag.
NO!Take-out utensils including straws, plastic plates, cups, cutlery, hot stoppers. These are not recyclable and must go in the trash. Also, noStarbucks-type coffee cups, even if they say “environmentally friendly,” they cannot be recycled.
