Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic ALL public beaches, all public parks, all athletic fields, all tennis courts and their corresponding parking lots remain CLOSED until further notice. Failure to adhere to these restrictions could result in a fine. 

DPW Update

Intersection Improvement work began work on April 17, 2020. Church Street reversed direction to improve intersection safety and add an additional parking spot. School St./Central St. and Union St./Beach St. will be redesigned to improve traffic flow and pedestrian safety, including better accommodation of those with mobility challenges. No net loss in parking spots will occur as a result of this process. The Intersection Plans were approved by the Board of Selectmen on December 2, 2019 after a two year design process.  

Dog Licenses: 

Dog Licenses are due ASAP! Please ensure your dog has been registered for 2020. Registration can be done online at www.epay.cityhallsystems.com or by sending in up to date rabies information and payment to Town Hall. Spayed and neutered dogs are $20 each and intact dogs are $25 each. If you have questions about what the Town has on record for your dog please call the Town Clerk’s office at 978-526-2040 or email townclerk@manchester.ma.us. 

Fire Department Update: Last day of open burning season is Friday, May 1, 2020. 

Town Hall Payment Drop Box: 

Installed at the rear of Town Hall by the Police Station Blue Door. Please use this convenient drive-up and handicap accessible box to drop payments off for any Town Bills. Please No Cash! 

Board of Health Update: 

The BOH is asking that residents continue to focus on social distancing by staying home and avoiding crowds larger than 10 – efforts are working! To get the latest information on COVID-19 please visit the Town website www.manchester.ma.us which is updated daily. 

Trash, Recycling, Compost:

Regular schedule. Compost site is open for the season:Thursday, Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.
