The following colleges have reported in on local students who have achieved academic honors while at their schools.  We’re happy to share their success with our readers here:

Northeastern University sent word that four of its students from Manchester were recently named to the university’s Dean’s List for the Fall semester, which ended in December 2019.  George Wright, majoring in business administration; Lauren Coogan, majoring in business administration; Alexei Goldsmith, majoring in data science; and Courtney Fraser, majoring in health science all achieved the dean’s list distinction by carrying a full program of at least four courses and having a quality point average of 3.5 or greater out of a possible 4.0 and carried no single grade lower than a C- during the course of their college career.  Each will receive a letter of commendation and congratulation from their college dean.

At Saint Michael's College, the fully residential Catholic college in Vermont's Green Mountains founded on the principles of social justice and compassion, reports that Benjamin P. Soulard, a freshman sociology - anthropology major from Essex, was named to the school’s Dean's List for the Fall 2019 semester.

Endicott College, the first college in the U.S. to require internships of its students, has announced its Fall 2019 Dean's List students.  Locally, they are all from Essex and include Holly Fossa (Nursing,) Kara Hersey (Psychology,) Alison Reed (Liberal Studies/Education,) and Sarah Reed (Marketing and Business Management).   In order to qualify for the Dean's List, a student must obtain a minimum grade point average of 3.5, receive no letter grade below "C," have no withdrawal grades, and be enrolled in a minimum of 12 credits for the semester.

Manchester native Sabrina Pallazola has been named to the Dean's List for the fall 2019 semester at Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.  Pallazola is pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Corporate Communication.  Marquette University is a Catholic, Jesuit university that draws its more than 11,500 students from all 50 states and more than 75 different countries.
