Montserrat College of Art and US Congressman Seth Moulton last week announced the winners for this year’s Sixth District Congressional High School Art Competition and Show.  The grand prize winner was Pui Ching Siu of Reading Memorial High School.

This year’s exhibition was hosted virtually and included work from public and private high schools from across the district and juried by artist and designer Brian Murphy.  Local students awarded in the show include Julia Bottarelli, Landmark School; Max Warnock, Manchester-Essex Regional High School; Catherine Cheseldine-Ackerman, Rockport High School; Jenna Rucker, Landmark School; Gaby Matte-Roy, Landmark School; and Parker Brooks, Manchester-Essex Regional High School.

Each winner will be presented with a citation from Congressman Moulton and varying levels of scholarships to Montserrat's Summer Pre-College Program.  The winning piece, Serenity, will be sent to Washington, DC where it will hang in the Capitol building for one year alongside the winners from other Congressional districts across the country.  Also, a ceremony to congratulate all the winners will be held in Washington, DC in June.
