115 Years Ago – 1906
The schools in town were given a holiday, Friday, allowing the teachers to attend the meeting of the Teachers Institute, under direction of the State Board of Education at High School, Gloucester. A most enjoyable and instructive session was held, nothing but the storm to mar the business of the day.
90 Years Ago – 1931
“The Dock” one of the popular clam restaurants on the causeway was totally destroyed by fire shortly before midnight Monday night.
