During the heavy thunder shower Tuesday evening the lightning struck the engine house of the Drivers Union ice houses, doing considerable damage to the engine, breaking the windows and doing other damage.

The Essex Grange was well represented Thursday evening of last week the Chebacco Pomona offices meeting with the Boxford Grange. A pleasing entertainment program was provided.
