Charlie Hunter at Nor'East Frameworks

Posted

Nor’east Frameworks in Manchester is showing a series of paintings by Charlie Hunter, one of the artists who participated in the fourth annual Cape Ann Plein Air painting competition this past October.  Using water-mixable oils and a tonalist technique, Hunter’s work is simultaneously journalistic and subjective. He works in Bellows Falls, VT, twenty miles from where he grew up on the highland farm of his great-great-great grandfather. A graphic designer who created tour posters for scores of bands ranging from Jerry Garcia to the Clash, Hunter now exhibits at museums and galleries across the US.

Hunter’s works will be on display through December at Nor’east Frameworks / Gallery H2 (40 Beach Street in Manchester-by-the-Sea, MA).
