Mass Department Of Public Health Coronavirus Guidelines and Mass 2-1-1

Posted

Governor Baker signed a new emergency order on March 23rd asking Massachusetts residents to minimize all non-essential activity outside the home, to limit gatherings to no more than ten people and to close non-essential businesses until April 7th. Food establishments may continue to remain open for delivery and takeout. To protect all members of our Manchester community, it is essential we each continue to follow the Massachusetts Department of Public Health guidelines found at mass.gov/2019coronavirus.

As we deal with the evolving COVID-19 pandemic and new questions emerge, our first concern is how to protect and care for our children, family, and ourselves. Learning how to be prepared can reduce stress and anxiety. Massachusetts residents can now call 2-1-1 to ask questions and learn about COVID-19 prevention, symptoms, and treatment, along with information about testing and guidance for people planning or returning from travel.   Massachusetts 2-1-1 is open to callers 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Interpreter lines are available. Callers with questions should dial 2-1-1, then press 2-6 for coronavirus information.  Live chat options are available through mass211.org

Mass211 also offers emotional support through their “Call2Talk” option. Simply dial 2-1-1 then choose “Call2Talk”. Mental health support through Call2Talk is also available by dialing 508-532-2255 or texting C2T to 741741.
